War of the Roses....

My husband and I only disagree on a few points, but unfortunately, they never change. One of these sticking points, is flowers. Simply put - I love flowers, all different colours, shapes, sizes, smells, and feel of displaying them. He hates them and doesn't see the point - how very practical and masculine of him! I love small florists who have a clear opinion on design and decorative style, and absolutely love Achillea, in West Hampstead. They are unashamedly feminine and natural.

These images have inspired so many ideas on choosing blooms, how many in each display and new thoughts on cute ways to show them off - think perfume bottles, buckets, as well as showing different shapes and sizes together...

Splash of colour

Kurt Geiger's collection for the new season, is almost unparalleled, especially on the British high street. For the last few seasons, each collection has topped the previous, starting with their Fashionista premium brand, and now boasting a collection of 4 core brands as well as many other names. They now include must-have shoes, bags, purses, scarves, jewellery and more, with much more accessible entry price-points.

My choice, which I have been lusting after for a few months already, is the sexy pin-heel Elliot in red suede. I finally brought my pair home, to find that they have almost sold out across London. Don't panic - check the impressive website for this colourway as well as black and snakeskin, and also many-more delicious styles.

Supperclub

After visiting Amsterdam a few years ago, and a repeated trip to the original Supperclub, I was thrilled when the London-branch opened in Ladbroke Grove almost 2 years ago. I have now been there twice - once with my husband and again, recently, with friends. If you haven't been, you must! If you have no idea of the avant-garde concept, let me explain...

A delicious 4 course dinner is served to you on beds...(there are some tables, but try to request a bed when booking)

Outrageous, fun and sexy shows are performed in between each course, along with very cool Dj sets.

Dress code is sexy and party - but you have to take your shoes off when in bed!
The restaurant gears up for the club, around midnight and the whole evening oozes style, fashion, music, great cocktails...what else could you want? Perfect for birthdays, hen parties, and we thought a very brave and sexy date!

HURRAH! J Crew ships to UK

I am thrilled to announce that J Crew (my used-to-be-favourite-secret-when-shopping-in-US shop, now only available on Net A Porter) is available to buy online, as it now ships to our friendly shores for a flat-rate of £9.95!
There is far too much for me to start listing my favourites, as every section online, has my mouth-watring and having to sit on my hands to refrain from shopping. If money were no object, check out this amazing porcupine sweater and maxi-floral print dress. But my favourite styles from J Crew are their classic American styling - think slightly preppy, weekend loungewear and must-have accessories and jewellery.

In-My-Bag Zara all-weather coat solution

Am I alone in my confusion at the current UK weather situation?? Is it summer, or did that pass us by 5 weeks ago? I feel in limbo before we can officially ditch our summer wardrobe (and lovely flat sandals) for the lure of new winter season togs.
Cotton coat, £39.99, Zara
In the meantime, keep this Zara every weather (or "no weather", as our case seems to be) cropped trench coat to hand, also available is stylish navy.

I-Spy Something Beginning with L

Lanvin is so famous for luxurious feminine collections, that now even include bridal (and very soon to have childrenswear for girls once again in November!), yet continues to send out season after season, rails of clothes and mouth-watering accessories and jewellery.
Jacket, £2,120, Lanvin at net-a-porter.com
This perfectly-proportioned oversize boucle wool jacket would look chic worn simply over jeans and a white silk blouse, equally when paired with its matching skirt, and even still worn closed and belted over a sexy pencil skirt.

Silk dress, £2,190, Lanvin at net-a-porter.com
Equally too-beautiful-to-miss, this 1940's-esque dress seems too gorgeous just to wear at night...

Boden does it all for you....

Does internet shopping frustrate you, because you don't get that changing room experience of trying things on and seeing how they look?

Boden may have the answer - their Outfit Maker shows what every piece of clothing and accessory looks like on a model, and you can play around to see what pieces look good together in full outfits. I had a lovely time putting this weekend outfit together, and it also shows how much the outfit and each piece costs.

Massimo Dutti magical boots

Popping into Massimo Dutti this week, I fell in love with a genius pair of tan leather boots. A pair of ankle Chelsea boots that come with a brilliant leg strap, which buckles underneath the heel. It comes with a zip up the back, which transforms the ankle boot into a pair of riding boots. Why are they so great?? Every fashion editor owns at least one pair of Chelsea boots as well as knee-high riding boots - now you only need to buy one! The leather boots retail for £185...

Remove the knee-length strap and you also have a classic pair of Chelsea boots

Even better - September 6th sees the online store launching! http://www.massimodutti.com/
